Drive Revenue

61% of user accounts and 56% of trackers had lifetime MGR over $500.  This is only of user accounts that ever generated greater than zero and trackers that generated greater than zero.

What is the significance of this?  You tell me. I have my ideas, but I’m going to give this a week and see what, if anything, you guys think.  Leave it in the comments if you’re so inclined.

Ultimately, the… Continue reading

It Just Takes a Little Time

If you have read my last few blog posts, you know I’ve posted some of the numbers behind a rakeback business.  First, I said a rakeback customer was worth $520.31.  I also said that value varies widely based on where this customer came from.  In addition, I said that I’d tell you what % of customers generated $500 in MGR.  I apologize for not yet delivering on this promise.  I… Continue reading

Monday Sales Call: Broaden Your Target Market

As you may or may not know, Poker Affiliate Solutions has expanded our poker affiliate network. We are now offering affiliates CPA (cost per action) and non-rakeback Revenue Share deals. The Intersection

We also told you the 80/20 rule was a factor.  But, as you may have guessed, we still have more information we have not shared.  Regarding time to produce $X amount in commissions, some of it is below:

  • $20 in commissions:  56.9% of all generators achieved this in an average of 3.28 months
  • $25 in commissions:  54.5% of all generators

How Much is a Rakeback Customer Worth?

We are often asked some version of the question:

How much is a rakeback customer worth?

The number is, of course, a crucial one.  Based on this number, a rakeback provider can determine how much can be spent to acquire a rakeback customer.

The short answer is $520.31*.

Now, it is important to know everything there is to know about this number.
•    It is lifetime value.
•    It is commission, after paying the player, not… Continue reading

Monday Sales Call: Reducing Your Variance as an Affiliate

In poker, we can reduce our variance by changing our playing style, stakes, types of games played (example: tournaments have more variance than cash games), and table selection. As affiliates, we can and should reduce our variance by means of diversification.

Rakeback affiliates market to the serious/winning poker player who is looking to boost the bankroll and curb variance by getting a percent of their rake back. The big rakeback players… Continue reading
